This Privacy Policy explains how Pelagic Outdoor Equipment & Services Pvt. Ltd. (“Pelagic Tribe”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data through pelagictribe.co.in and its sub-domains, including our spares, service and partner portals. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. What we collect

Sign-in details: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We do not access your contacts, files or any other Google data.
Account and business details you provide: full name, company name, GST number, job title, WhatsApp number, billing and shipping addresses, team members and company logo.
Orders and service requests: items ordered, service details, invoices, payment confirmations and messages exchanged with our team.
Technical data: sign-in session records, including IP address, browser type and sign-in times, used to keep your account secure.

2. How we use it

To verify who you are and what you are authorised to access.
To process orders, service requests, invoices, deliveries and GST-compliant billing.
To contact you about your orders, service jobs and account.
To keep the websites secure and prevent misuse.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

3. One sign-in across our websites

Our websites share a single sign-in. When you sign in on one of them, a secure cookie on the pelagictribe.co.in domain keeps you signed in on the others. Signing out on any of them signs you out of all of them. We use only the cookies needed for sign-in and site operation.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only where needed to run our business: with courier and logistics partners to deliver goods, with manufacturers such as Shimano to process warranty claims, with our hosting and email providers, with Google for sign-in, and with government authorities where required by law, for example for GST filings.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active. Order, invoice and tax records are kept for the period required by Indian tax and company law. Sign-in session records expire after 30 days.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records. You can also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. To make a request or raise a grievance, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Security

We protect data using encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and secure session handling. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
